Fellow North Carolina author, Donna Steele, stopped by to share her new book. Take it away, Donna!
I’m pleased to announce that A New Time, book three in the Guardians of Now Series is now available. This time travel/science fiction romance series is complete and available through Amazon and SoulMate publishing. Another Time, book one and A Different Time, book two are also available as eBook or paperback.
This saga has been a fun ride for me, and I learned so much from it. I don’t know how writers of historical fiction get anything done for getting caught up in the research. My hat is off to them for staying on task. I failed that too many times checking out how things really were in the past.
The mystery of why Dusty and Dee were transported to 1891 is finally revealed to them, though not in any way they saw coming. At last they have an understanding of what their role has been in the vast scheme of things. Please join them as they discover the truth.
Excerpt from A New Time
“I didn’t think to ask. Where are we headed? What’s the nearest hospital?” Dusty forced his eyes from the infant in his arms.
“Oh, sorry. We’re headed to Braddock’s Crossing Memorial Hospital,” the tech replied.
Braddock’s Crossing, of course. Dusty couldn’t even be surprised. He hadn’t realized they’d traveled so far. The name no longer startled him. He and Dee would no doubt end up retired here someday. This place was as much home as anywhere else he’d lived.
He glanced back to his child. Her eyes were open, focused on him. Could she see him? He moved her closer to his face.
“Hi, I’m your dad.”
She blinked at him, accepting the statement as though royalty acknowledging a vow of fealty.
A good analogy, since she already owned him, the same as her mother. His women to guard, protect, and love.

More about the author
Donna writes science fiction, paranormal and small town romances about women coming into their strength and having the courage to find and accept love.
Now that she has retired from going into an office every day, she created an office at home and writes full time. Talk about living the dream!
She was the girl at the party who was yearning for the quiet corner and a book to read (go Rory Gilmore!) and has been writing in her head since she learned to read. Getting those stories down on paper (or in her laptop) has been more fun than she ever imagined it could be.
The possibilities of science fiction have always drawn her, and she's read them all, there just needed to be a little more romance in them. She finally got up the courage to write them herself and is delighted to be able to share these stories with you.
She is a member of Romance Writers of America, the Fantasy, Futuristic & Paranormal Chapter of RWA and the Heart of Carolina Romance Writers. She can be reached at
